Photography

I recently emptied my computer of unwanted files and stored the rest on external harddrives. I really need to keep more organised with my files as I upload them so things don't get lost, doubled up and fill up my macbook!

Anyway, here are three photos I found that I am really proud to have taken.





I really need to do something to reignite my interest in photography and help me learn some new techniques - I am considering starting a 365 (photo a day) project soon

Hightime Album launch

The weekend just gone was a pretty fun one !
I went to the album launch of a  local band I have seen play many times before. No matter how many times I see them though, I'm still impressed by how into it they get and how much fun the entire crowd has. They played at the Adelaide uni bar with another Adelaide punk band, Stolen Youth


I took a few photos, but again I had the wrong lens to get any great shots of the band close up, I was too busy having fun anyway :)

Everyone was pretty gross and sweaty afterwards, but it was worth it :D

Today is my eldest nephews 6th birthday!!


As the youngest in my immediate family, and second youngest in the extended version (by one month) I had almost no experience with kids or babies until I accidentally watched my sister give birth to the most adorable little guy (Yup, accidentally. and yup, scarred for life!)

What I wore - Cheap outfit + New hair colour

This is what I wore today to do some shopping and have lunch with my Mum, sister and nephew. I didn't end up buying anything except some shoes for my boyfriend (when I find shoes in his size, I have to grab them, most of the time he has to custom order them online. Turns out, they were too small anyway)

Shoes- Big W


I always go into Traget and have a look through their reduced/ end of season clothing. Sometimes you can save a ridiculous amount on some pretty nice pieces. This skirt was reduced from something like $60 - I paid less then $10 The only problem is, every time I go in there I buy a ridiculous amount of things! My wardrobe is starting to overflow

 The shirt was also really cheap one I bought from K-mart instead of going home to change after work 

All together this outfit was less then $20. It makes me wonder why op-shops around my area have such high prices.

 



Spinning !

 My shoes are cut off in these photos, but they're just basic black flats. Taking photos of yourself is hard. Posing for them without feeling super silly is harder!

The Dresden Dolls

Recently my boyfriend surprised me with tickets to see a band that I adored in high school - The Dresden Dolls. He had the entire day off of work, so we went out for lunch and stopped to play arcade games before heading to the show.


We had lunch at a Mexican restaurant in Glenelg - Gringos - that a relative had recommended. The food was pretty but not that great, and I'm definitely not a fussy eater !
 

Cats!

Just because I think they're cute, here are some photos of the cats I live with

When I moved in, we envisioned them being best friends and curling up next to each other on the couch. A perfect photo opportunity!  Sadly though, they don't get along and while they don't fight, they will hiss at one another if they suddenly realise how close to one another they are standing.
   


Molko (above) was named after the lead singer of the band Placebo and belongs to one of my housemates. He is such a funny cat, sometimes angry, sometimes snuggly he almost always loves getting petted with bare feet (never your hands).


 


Asha used to belong to my sister, but I adopter her and I'm so glad! I think she is just the cutest thing and I am, unfortunately, one of those people who thinks that anything their pet does is adorable and discussion worthy.

 

Her fuzzy little paws and pink nose! So cute!
